Every business in our program gets verified the old-fashioned way: a phone call to the number listed on their website. If someone answers and can talk about their business, they pass. It's that simple — and that effective.

You Apply

Fill out our contact form. Tell us your business name, website, and the best number to reach you. We'll be in touch within a few business days.

We Call Your Published Number

We dial the phone number listed on your website — not a private number you give us, the one that's already public. A real person on our end calls a real person on yours. We have a short conversation about what your business does.

Your Verification Page Goes Live

We create a page on this site with your business name, the date of our call, who we spoke with, and a short summary. Visitors who click your badge land here and see the proof.

Monthly Check-In Calls

Once a month we call back — just a quick hi, see how things are going, any updates to note. We add a new entry to your verification log. Over time this builds a real track record of human presence.

Badge Embed Code

You get a small snippet to paste in your website footer. Visitors see the badge. Clicking it brings them to your verification page. Simple as that.

What Happens If You Cancel

No hard feelings. But the badge stops working the day your subscription lapses.

Badge Expired

This business's verification is no longer active. The subscription ended and monthly calls have stopped. This does not mean the business is not legitimate — only that they are not currently participating in the Powered by Real People program.

This keeps the badge honest. A lapsed badge is transparent, not punishing. Businesses that stay active build a longer call log — which is the real value over time.
